Tps99000-q1 system management and lighting controller is a part of dlp553x-q1 chipset, which also includes dlpc230-q1 DMD display controller. The chipset has a typical brightness requirement range of 3 to 15000 nits, and has strict color point control, which can provide all the functions required to support head up display (HUD) applications and exceed the dimming requirements of a typical 5000:1 display.
The integrated DMD high voltage regulator power supply can provide DMD image reference voltage to meet the requirements of strict tolerance. The power sequence generator and monitor provide reliable coordination for power on and power off events of the entire chipset.
Tps99000-q1 lighting controller integrates a 12 bit ADC, two DACs (12 bit and 10 bit) and two high-performance photodiode signal conditioning and transimpedance amplifier (TIA), which is one of the core components of the lighting control system. The ADC can automatically sample up to 63 events per video frame.
The advanced system status monitoring circuit can provide real-time images to display the operation of the subsystem, including two processor watchdog circuits, two bare chip temperature monitors, integrated power monitoring for overvoltage and undervoltage detection, checksum obtained through byte level parity on SPI bus transactions, password register protection, highlight monitor circuit and other built-in test functions.
