explain:
Drv8316 provides three and a half H-bridge integrated MOSFET Drivers for driving three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motors for 12v/24v DC power rail or battery powered applications. Such applications include field oriented control (FOC), sinusoidal current control and trapezoidal current control of BLDC motors. The device integrates three current sensing amplifiers (CSA) with built-in current sensing function, which can sense the three-phase current of BLDC motor.
Each output driver channel contains an n-channel power MOSFET in a half bridge configuration. The device supports various PWM control modes, thus using a simple interface to connect to the control circuit that can be powered by 30mA, 3.3V internal voltage regulator (avdd). Drv8316r/t also supports step-down regulator, which can support 200mA current in combination with programmable regulated power supply. The device supports a maximum PWM frequency of 200kHz.
Internal protection functions for undervoltage lockout (UVLO), overvoltage protection (OVP), charge pump undervoltage (cpuv), overcurrent protection (OCP), over temperature warning (OTW) and over temperature shutdown (otsd) are provided. The fault status is indicated by the nfault pin.
